  • Michael Vitti, of the Moving Picture Collective will host a lighting workshop for independent filmmakers. In this workshop, you'll get an appreciation for good light and making the best light possible for today's capture systems.   Three point lighting, key light, contrast/fill ratios, color temperature, all aspects of visual storytelling that filmmakers need to control.  Early observers of light sought to reproduce these qualities and more, today we seek to capture and represent. Using contemporary digital equipment, visual storytellers need an approach and method to representing light and using this in the service of the story. In this workshop, you will be exposed to basic lighting theory, lighting setups for portraiture, use of a light meter, soft and hard lighting instruments, various lighting setups, styles and their results. Beginning at 1:30pm
